Flatiron Condo

For a large, three bedroom condominium in a newly constructed building in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, maa designs planned warm interior spaces to compliment the blank slate unit with floor-to-ceiling windows.  In addition to new lighting through-out the residence, maa designs also specified that the very dark stained natural wood floors be sanded and refinished to a natural oak helping to brighten the apartment and differentiate it from its neighbors.

A floor to ceiling, wall to wall built-in cabinetry unit was constructed adjacent to the dining area to serve as both a bar area as well as side board for dining.  The rich walnut and natural stone used provides a rich, warm backdrop for the natural walnut dining table.  Sleek floor to ceiling sliding glass doors were installed in the large living room to create a separate media room for music and television activities with acoustical privacy.  A beautiful, custom designed desk was fabricated for the Master Bedroom using leftover from the slab in the Dining Area.
